Inquiry

Start a
commission.

Every piece we build begins with this form. Tell us what you have in mind, where it will live, and roughly when you need it. You do not need drawings or exact dimensions yet. A few sentences and a photo reference or two are plenty to start the conversation.

Prefer to talk it through?

We reply to every inquiry within two business days.

What to expect

Where we work, how long it takes, and how quotes come together.

01

Service area

We build in our Deep Ellum workshop and deliver personally across the Dallas area, including Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, and McKinney. Delivery and installation are included in every quote within 40 miles of the studio. For clients further out, we crate and ship anywhere in Texas.

02

Timelines

Most furniture commissions take 8 to 12 weeks from approved design to delivery. Wall art and smaller pieces usually run 4 to 6 weeks. Built-ins and larger installations can take longer depending on materials. We give you a firm date before work begins and update you at each stage.

03

How quotes work

After your inquiry, we schedule a short call or studio visit to talk through the piece. Within a week you receive a written quote with a sketch, material options, and a fixed price. The quote is free and there is no obligation. A 50 percent deposit reserves your spot on the build calendar.

Want the full picture of the process, from first sketch to final finish? The commissions page walks through every step.

One maker, one workshop, no production line.

Blackland Studio is a working shop in Dallas where every commission is cut, joined, and finished by hand. Before you send your inquiry, you might want to know who will be building your piece and why we work the way we do.
